PBSE is a member-based cooperative that is dedicated to empowering the Metro Detroit community by offering a range of sustainable home energy solutions. From Energy Coaching Services to Policy Advocacy for Energy Justice and Community Solar, PBSE provides resources and support to help members make their homes more energy-efficient. One of the key aims of PBSE is to promote equity in the energy system by providing access to holistic energy services for all members of the community. The cooperative was incubated by Soulardarity, a local organization committed to advancing racial and economic equity in the energy sector.

PBSE has already conducted extensive feasibility work and secured funding for an initial pilot program. Our future plans include launching community solar initiatives and bulk purchasing opportunities for rooftop solar panels. By showcasing the unique business history of PBSE and sharing founding members' stories, the cooperative is working to build a strong foundation for sustainable energy solutions in Metro Detroit.
